Job Description:

Client is one of the world’s leading analytical instrumentation companies covering a broad spectrum of advanced solutions in all fields of research and development.  The systems and instruments improve safety of products, accelerate time-to-market and support industries in successfully enhancing quality of life.  This is a “hands on” highly interactive role.  Candidates must be willing to pitch in, “roll his/her sleeves up” and actually do the work.  This position reports to President, Semiconductor Division.

Responsibilities:

Direct the development of company market requirements for AAFM and WLI products for semiconductor applications including strategy definition, new product requirement analysis and pricing, including:

  •  Formulate product direction and craft product roadmaps.

  • Identify customer needs, lead new product definition and attractiveness of new opportunities and potential market size.

  • Establish the metrics and data mining for evaluating new markets, customer opportunities and multi-year product line strategy.

  • Develop product line business plans, including leading competitive analysis, managing lifecycles and product positioning strategy in terms of price-value, as well as identify product family gaps and new product      definitions.

  • Interact with Sales and Manufacturing to plan and forecast revenue for the 4 forward quarters.

  • Interact with Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales to enhance existing product(s) or product lines.

  • Provide updates to sales team and support of sales team.

  • Drive Marketing Communications to set promotion strategies.

  • Semiconductor applications development.

  • Track and report semiconductor and semi capex market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-year technical degree BS/MS in Engineering or Physical Sciences.  Prefer MBA or equivalent.

  • 8-10 years’ related experience in a product line marketing role and experience in semiconductor equipment or semiconductor design or manufacturing.  Leadership experience or qualities required.  Metrology equipment experience would be a plus.

  • Experience with complex, multi-million dollar contracts desired, international experience a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as internet research.

  • Pro-active and results-driven.  Strong leadership skills that can drive the organization to win from a marketing perspective.

  • Significant global travel (on average 1 week a month).
