Summary of Responsibilities:

As the optical metrology expert, support the rapid and continued growth of the Tribology, Stylus & Optical Metrology Business Unit, along with the Semiconductor Division.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Providing advanced applications and design input for new product development.
  • Testing alpha and beta prototypes and providing feedback to alpha and beta product development team.
  • Contributing to the development of business strategies.
  • Reporting to the senior management and product marketing groups on market and competitive trends.
  • Coordinating and performing product demonstrations and sample measurements.  (key sales demonstrations)
  • Active support of the sales process by answering advanced applications questions from company employees, customers and channel partners.
  • Support the Sales team on key Sales cases, responding to RFQ (Request for Quote), responding to PSPEC (Product Specification) documents, etc.
  • Provide input for the production of application documents to support sales, e.g. applications notes, presentations, web content, brochures, competitive information, etc.
  • Training of other staff, channel partners and customers in semiconductor optical metrology applications, optimization testing within the fab environment and advanced data analysis.
  • Assisting the sales team in communicating key and unique product features that relate to customer applications requirements through customer visits, discussions, etc.
  • Assisting Service team in preparation for new installations of products in customer fabs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • A positive team player, self-motivated with good analytical skills.
  • Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Fluent in English, other languages an advantage.
  • Familiar with MS Office software.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Prefer a minimum of a Master’s degree in a technical field.
  • Extensive knowledge and broad experience in the field of semiconductor fabrication or metrology.
  • Direct experience in optical measurement techniques in the semiconductor field a significant advantage.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%.
